Coach Shaw - from p1
Defensively, The Black Swarm has only allowed a total of 87 points which averages out at 10.87 points per game. Many of the opponent’s scores came after the game was already out of reach and our younger players were given the opportunity to experience Friday Night football at its best. I believe the foundation of this team is our Defense.
Special Teams has once again been a major strength this year for our team. We understand that many a game has been decided by this segment of football and we will continue to place a significant amount of emphasis on the details on Special Teams play. I can’t say enough about the kicking of
Will “Monday” Monday and Billy “Barou” Thompson, both of whom will be back next year.
Lastly, I would like to thank The Falcon Nation for once again being the 12th Man in the stands and creating an atmosphere that will be etched in the memories of all that play at The Branch.
Now let’s stay focused, play with Tenacity and fight to the finish!
See you after the game!!
Go Falcons!

Flowery Branch Fans Are Number One in North Georgia!
“In the Stands with Matt & Scott” announced on WDUN News/Talk 550AM Friday night that Flowery Branch beat out Gainesville and North Hall High Schools to have the best fans in North Georgia. Matt & Scott have attended football games at all North Georgia area high schools throughout the entire 2008 season grading the fans in the stands on being the best, the rowdiest, the absolute craziest, and the most spirited. They took into account the atmosphere in the home stadium as well as crowds following the team to away games. They graded fans on making the most noise and being the most original. Matt & Scott agreed that Flowery Branch is THE PLACE TO BE if you are an athlete, both for successful athletic programs, and also for the loyal and very spirited Fans In The Stands.
